Democrats holding America hostage!

While our Republican-led House and President Trump have acted responsibly to keep the government open, the radical, obstructionist wing of the Democrat party in the Senate is playing a dangerous game of political brinkmanship. This is not governance; this is hostage taking and the American people are the victims.

When the government shuts down, it's not a harmless "vacation." It's a genuine threat to our national well-being, and it is entirely thanks to Democrat inflexibility

Critical programs that support our most vulnerable citizens, from nutritional assistance for low-income mothers and children to vital services for our veterans, are facing disruptions. The Democrats claim to champion these very groups, yet their political games are the first thing to hurt them. This manufactured crisis injects unnecessary uncertainty into the American economy, threatening the incredible growth we've seen under President Trump's policies. Democrats are effectively halting paychecks for our brave men and women in uniform, Border Patrol agents, and federal law enforcement. They are weakening our national security and putting those who protect us in a financial bind all for political theater.

The American people deserve a functional government. President Trump and the Republican majority have repeatedly demonstrated their willingness to pass a responsible funding measure and negotiate the rest of the budget through regular order.
